Privacy Policy

Last updated 15 October 2026

This policy explains how Solar CRM (“we”) handles personal data in Solar CRM, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Two kinds of data

What we use your data for

Where it is stored

Data is stored with reputable cloud providers (database, file storage and hosting) that protect it with encryption in transit and at rest. Files such as site photos and bills are private and only reachable by signed-in users of your workspace or by the customer they belong to.

The phone apps

The Solar CRM apps for iPhone and Android show the same workspace as the website. They ask the phone for permissions only when you use the feature that needs them:

The apps contain no advertising or third-party tracking.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run Solar CRM (hosting, storage, email and payment processing), when required by law, or with your instruction. We do not sell personal data.

Retention and deletion

Your data stays while your workspace is active. You can export your records as CSV at any time.

Deleting your account: open My account → Delete account, on the website or in the app. A team member’s sign-in and personal details are deleted straight away; the records they worked on stay with their company. When a company’s only owner deletes their account, the whole workspace is closed at once and its data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except invoices and payment records the law requires us to keep.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by contacting us below. We respond within 30 days. If you are a customer of a solar company that uses Solar CRM, please contact that company first, as they control your records.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in (and, in the phone apps, to unlink notifications when you sign out). We do not use advertising cookies.
